The Matterhorn stands alone as the most attractive and rugged traditional style gutter connected greenhouse. Our Matterhorn greenhouse was inspired by the most majestic peak in the Swiss Alps, which draws intrepid climbers who risk their lives each summer scaling its rugged terrain and ridges. The Matterhorn greenhouse is a high-quality, strong and attractive structure ideally suited for garden centers, growers and schools in any climate in North America. The Matterhorn can withstand heavy snow loads and wind loads which will allow you to get a good night’s sleep during the worst winter storms and hurricanes.

Yes, since the Matterhorn is so strong, it can take uneven snow loads that are built up by adjoining buildings. Our greenhouse technicians can visit your facility and explain to you exactly how your greenhouse needs to be constructed to prevent leaking and make the construction process simple.
Yes, we can weld plates to the columns for installation on concrete walls, and we can also help you or your contractor design the wall.
Yes, since we are a manufacturer, we can help you with certain applications within reason. We have provided materials for all of the above, as well as lean-to style greenhouses.
No, the Matterhorn cannot connect to other greenhouses, nor can most other manufacturers perform this difficult feat. However, we have ways of adapting to make smooth transitions with certain other greenhouse manufacturers. Each situation is closely analyzed.
Yes, very easily with the heavy-duty truss design.
Yes, although there is a cost associated with engineering plans depending on the scope of the project. This process can take up to three weeks with a custom drawing and an engineer’s stamp.
We can paint the flashing any color to add pizzazz. We can have a clear glass/acrylic end wall or side wall. We have roll-up sides. We can use bronze polycarbonate on the roof or walls. You can have a unique knee wall. We can do many different things to help dress up the greenhouse.
Due to our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we can usually deliver a greenhouse within four weeks. Most of our competitors take six weeks or even longer!
We will provide a controller which can control vents, heating, air circulation fans, shade curtains and other equipment. Typically, vents are programmed to open in increments for maximum control of the cooling process. See our environmental control section for more information.
Add the costs of concrete for footings, digging holes for footings, renting a scissor lift, site work, electrical, plumbing and permits.
Typical cost for the frame only is about $7per square foot. Pricing depends on overall width and length of the building, plus gutter height. The total cost of the Matterhorn usually ranges from $20 per square foot for a basic package to $50 per square foot for all the bells and whistles.
You can use polycarbonate, polyethylene film, or glass (walls only). If you are on a tight budget, poly on the roof can be retrofitted at a later date with polycarbonate.
The Matterhorn is so simple to construct because we had the help of greenhouse builders in the design process, and we always listen to you to make changes to streamline the construction process. RGS also provides very simple step-by-step instructions. Call us for an instruction manual, and you will see how easy it is to build a Matterhorn greenhouse.
